In AD2 there is now a snare and two ride slots which all supports positional sensing … Last edited by Kabonfaiba ; 04-10-16, 07:53 PM . I have a td20. Full experience? Humm.. that might entail positional sensing for snare half hedge hits .. tom rim hits … three-way ride ….you are gonna need at least a td10 based kit (like the older v-session)… or put together a kit around the td10 module – although it will allow tom hits only if used with rim switch rubber pads like pd7/pd8/pd9…. Just so those that don't already know are updated, the new Superior Drummer 3 now does support positional sensing and it looks to do a good job too (link to a demonstration video I found) So you can now use VST with modules that support positional sensing, including MegaDrum with appropriate p.s. Latest firmware. I was always under the impression that positional sensing wasn't possible with side-mounted triggers, be they internal or external. board added (which hopefully works well since that's the module I'm aiming at). ... closed to open, chick & splash + Positional Sensing for the snare. Positional Sensing installed. I tried to use positional sensing for this, but without luck. I reckon all you need, is an option to reverse centre and edge, then you could get away with a very unnatural positional sensing working in one direction lol. Positional sensing is only available on Americana and Reggae EZX kits, it is better to use if you plan on switching kit sounds more often. There is a big difference in triggering speed, sensitivity, positional sensing, hi-hat variability, etc - and all of that matters when you're triggering VSTs. LCD screen, ABS casing. I set up a software to track the positional sensing data and mapped this to the pitches of a synthesizer to measure how accurate it was. Very sweet. I’m not sure how these parameters would translate as midi data (I know they are CC messages) and whether that would translate to more expressiveness in SD2. 32 inputs (x1 foot controller, x1 single zone/mono input, x15 dual zone/stereo inputs). Diamond Drums 4pc in Di-Noc carbon MegaDRUM Diamond Drums 4pc in Di-Noc carbon MegaDRUM The MegaDRUM Advanced preset also includes the positional sensing settings configured to receive on the cc:16 channel for the snare. I used a Roland TD-50KVX including a PD-140DS snare, PD-128-BC pad, and a TD-50 Drum Module. ARM version installed. I'm building an A2E kit with Roland external triggers and mesh heads, and a MegaDrum 56 w/positional sensing board. This is quick demo showing what you should expect when testing positional testing on MegaDrum. The only differences I see are the nuance setting for the rims in the TD 20 and TD 30 and the positional sensing on the auxs for the TD 30. a question about TD20 Positional sensing Just read this thread - wonder if you guys know the answer to this operational question. Personally, I'd recommend Roland above 2box for VSTs because of the triggering responsiveness. just discovered drum instrument #560 'For Pad Check' It seems to be designed to help check positional sensing on a pad.
